Printing onto the recycled clothes

Screen Printing
I used a range of foils to add tone and reflect light in the layers. It was interesting because once I had use the foil there was a gap where my design had been. It completely captured the idea of things once being there and then becoming extinct.
These are the donated clothes I have sampled on top of, I feel the knitted pieces work really well and help add texture and give the prints a 3D effect.
I choose to use screen printing because its a slower process that isn't a modern one. I thought it would help express history and show that you can combine modern and old to create retro futurism.
