Jean Paul Gaultier SS 2010 - featuring Denim Couture

 I have decided to work with Denim as my recycled material in Unit X. I am excited, as I have never worked with this fabric before and I feel it has many interesting applications. As inspiration I'm posting Jean-Paul Gaultier's Spring 2010 Collection. The first half of the Jean-Paul Gaultier Spring 2010 show was particularity focused on denim. He styled classic overalls with gold chains, tattoos, and top caps, in a clear nod to hip-hop culture. To take it further, he paired some shredded denim styles with leggings that had been printed with a psychedelic, indigo ink swirl. Throw into the mix, side ponytails, silk baggy-crotched dungarees over bandeau bras, shredded denim and Neneh Cherry on the soundtrack.
